DESCRIPTION

Before starting the master program, Kristin would panic about finding internships and full time jobs throughout the school year, and even after graduation.  She was overwhelmed at first by questions like, “How many coffee chats you had?“, "How many networking events you attended?”, “How many emails or LinkedIn messages have you sent out during the past weeks?” But seeing the results now made the journey worth it.

Stuart showed great foresight and helped me to prepare the mindset to be successful in a highly competitive market. I quickly landed with my target firm.

TRANSCRIPT

Hi everyone this is Kristin from the career accelerator family and I want to share some of my experience as a member of the program. I would say, before coming to the master program, I would really panic about finding internships and full time jobs throughout the school year and even after graduation. But very luckily, I got (to be/work with) Stuart and had a conversation with him before I joined. He really enlightened me by telling me that if I want to achieve my goal I need to be firm and resolute, and really agreed to his point because I think if you have a dream but you never do anything about it, it would never lead you to the goal that you’d be dreaming about.

After I joined, I found a lot of things that are very valuable and helpful to me. The first thing I want to mention is the online courses that Stuart created for us. Those courses (form) made are very comprehensive system that taught us step by step from narrowing down what exactly we wanna do in the future, (feeding/speeding/creating up) resume and (cover) letter, (knocking/acting with) people that we do not have a connection with before to tips for interviews and (messages/masses) to (pull/full up) with people we met and companies we had interview with. I think that courses are very important because they create a blueprint and it’s like a line for us throughout the job hunting process, which make everything super clear so that we know what is the next step we need to work on and which part we really need to improve on.

The second part that I wanna talk about is that Stuart really helped me to step outside my comfort zone and start to connect with people  that are not even my alumni. I still remember that during the first few weeks, Stuart always asked us how many (coffee chats) we had, how many networking events we went, how many emails or LinkedIn messages we sent out during the past weeks, that seems that very overwhelming for me at the very beginning because I had never done those things before but as I got used to the pattern those things actually became the power for me to step forward, which I think is very helpful and now I’m very comfortable with reaching out to people, having (phone calls /coffee chats) with them , which I think is very significant for me and really help me to become a braver person. So, I would say that this program is really helpful and I wanna say that thank you a lot Stuart for always giving me all this encouragement  and support and I believe that with the hard work everybody could get their ideal offer in the end. Thank you a lot.
